In recent times a lot Nigerians have been identified with international organizations and they seem to be at the top of their games. Not only in big organizations but Nigerians also come out in flying colors as long as education is concerned. Born and breed abroad, a young man from Akwa Ibom state Ime Archibong, has been identified as one of the many successful Nigerians working with Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Facebook. He is the Director, Strategic partnerships at Facebook and has been described as Mark Zuckerberg's deputy.
Archibong leads a team focused on accelerating Facebook’s product strategy by establishing partnerships, driving products integrations and unlocking new business opportunities with leading companies across multiple industries and sectors.
He and his team have worked on everything related to Facebook including the Messenger app. He played a significant role in Mark Zuckerberg’s visit to Nigeria.
Prior to joining Facebook, he was an Advanced Technology Business development Professional at IBM for a little over 3 years. He is an alumnus of YALE University where he studied computer Science and electrical engineering and holds an MBA from the Stanford University of Business.
Born in Kansas but raised in North Carolina, Ime Arhibong’s parents were Nigerian immigrants and they are both professors. As proper Nigerians, his parents would have loved their son become either a medical doctor or a lawyer but surely not a computer course.
naijstory.blogspot.com.com gathered that Archibong’s father was reported to have hailed from Uyo, Akwa Ibom but her grew up in Aba, Abia state while his mother is from Enugu. Speaking on his major inspiration, the young man revealed that all that has kept him going is the zeal to hustle. Unlike other Nigerian men abroad who take time out often to visit their motherland, Archibong has only visited Nigeria twice in his entire lifetime.
Going through his Instagram handle, it could be gathered this hardworking young man loves nature as he been seen a couple of times spending his moment at the lion’s den in Bostwana. Not only lions but with other wildlife animals.
